Our Family
Mom & Director of Everything
My name is Karem Smith Ramirez. I am a nurturing, fun-loving, mother of three wonderful boys, that is passionate about children and education! I am a fully bi-lingual college educated woman, originally of Ecuador, with legal permanent residency (and soon citizenship!) in the United States.
I established Evergreen Immersion Academy to address what I believe is an underserved segment in the local childcare arena. I want to provide a place where children can not only learn, and be exposed to a new language, and new ideas, but can be nurtured and loved. I want to provide a home away from home.
Our Cat
We have a sweet indoor-outdoor cat named D'Artagnan, he is our Chief Risk Officer. At times, our own children have learned important lessons in natural consequences by mistreating him.
Our home may not be an ideal environment if you or your child have serious animal or food allergies (or aversions).
The Boys
We have three boys. Asher, Director of Games, is eleven years old and continuing his bilingual education at Gunston. Caleb, Chief Mayhem Officer, is two years old and works at this role full time for the academy. Eli, the intern, six months old. To be candid, we are still trying to determine if he is going to be a fit for our culture.
The Dad
Jeremy, Chief Maintenance Officer, is not directly involved in care, but works from home. He wishes he could be more involved.
